Deputy Principal’s Message

Dear Sirius College family,

I am excited and honoured to welcome each and every one of you to the beginning of a new school year at Sirius College. We have had many changes this year, and look forward to sharing them with you over the year.

I have been with the Sirius College family for almost 10 years now, and during this time, have experienced a lot of personal and professional growth. This year, I am honoured to be given the new role of Deputy Principal at Eastmeadows and Dallas Primary, one which I aim to fulfil with utmost care and respect.

A note to our students

In 2017, make the most of the fantastic educational opportunities that you have here at our college. Take ownership of your actions. Be a positive student. Look out for your friends. Be friendly to everyone. Take responsibility. But above all always know that WE care for you and YOU are valued. We want to be one big happy family, and continue to succeed academically but more importantly, in our social and emotional ethics. A kind reminder that, we have a Zero tolerance to Bullying! This is our goal as the year at Sirius College commences. Let's continue to work together to help each other to be our best for the world!

Behaviour Management

Over the holiday break, the management team have worked diligently to ensure we have a solid Behaviour Management Policy at Eastmeadows and Dallas Primary, where staff and students follow the same framework of expectations. Having these preferred practices, enhance professionalism and increase the sense of shared professional consistency across our college. It provides a positive learning culture, as students are aware of the expectations, the rewards, and the consequences if they fail to follow the framework of expectations. The new framework is called “Reach for the Stars Guide” is attached in our newsletter.
